Everybody knows that this is the inter-school big match season but one should not run away with the idea that this is a scene from Maitland Place or the P. Sara Stadium. Papare bands and extravagant colourful clothing seemed to be the order of the day as captured by our cameraman Chinthaka Kumarasinghe at the protest staged at the Galle Face Green yesterday. Were there the one million protesters whom the so-called organisers claimed would turn up at the venue or only a few thousand people.
