Liquor shops closed on April 13, 14 and 16

Commissioner General of the Excise Department M.J. Gunasiri said that all liquor shops countrywide will be closed for the New Year on April 13 and 14.

All liquor shops will be closed on April 16, Bak Full Moon Poya Day.

The circular issued by the Commissioner General of Excise Department stated that nearly 1,200 investigation officers would be deployed countrywide to take legal action against errant liquor shop owners who violate these regulations.
