Saga Veda Guru Govi ​​Kamkaru Stage Drama – April 1 at Elphinstone

Written and directed by Chamila Priyanka, Saga Weda Guru Govi ​​Kamkaru play will be staged on April 1 (Friday) at 3.30 pm and 6.30 pm at the Elphinstone Theatre, Maradana.

The play seeks to convey that this is a situation that can no longer be ignored.

The play is research on finding the most suitable method of acting for Sri Lanka, so the play is unique in that it is created in a theatrical format that can be easily understood and entertained.

Previously created by Chamila Priyanka, This is Not a Gun won a number of awards at both the State and Youth Awards Festivals, including Best Drama.

Chamila Priyanka won the Fulbright Scholarship from the United States and holds a MFA Degree in Theatre Directing from the Long Island University, New York.

Also, He worked for about a year as an Assistant Director of the New Circle Theatre Company in New York.

Today he is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Fine Arts, University of Peradeniya. Saga Veda Guru Govi ​​Kamkaru is Chamila Priyanka's first stage play after he returns to Sri Lanka from the USA.

Kaushalya Fernando, Nilanka Dahanayake, Sanjaya Hettiarachchi, Yashoda Rasaduni, Thilina Perera, Pramod Edirisinghe, Mayura Kanchana, Xavier Kanishka, Thivanka Ranasinghe are contributing to acting in this play.
