An interesting story that I read

28 March, 2022

An interesting story book I study in class is Oliver Twist. Oliver was an orphan. He was born in an orphanage called the work house.

When Oliver was born Oliver’s mother died. Oliver Twist came into the world in this unhappy way. When Oliver was a little older, and could walk and talk, and say “I will ‘ing an ‘ong” for “sing a song” or “I am ‘ad” for “I am sad dropping his “s” at every turn he was sent to another house where poor children were brought up.

Mrs. Mann the head was a bad woman and she did not give the children enough to eat Oliver Twist grew pale and thin. When Oliver asked for more food Mrs. Mann beat him for it and closed him up in a darkroom.

I like this story because it is a sad story of an orphan.
