Sri Lanka which is now competing to gain a place at the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in beach volleyball have performed well up to yesterday morning where both the men and women were successful in reaching the last round which is to decide the course of final entry.
The final two matches were scheduled for late last evening with the men taking on the Maldives and the women confronting Singapore.
On the first day all men’s matches ended in straight set victories with Sri Lanka enjoying three wins to be on top of the table, an indication that the team was well on course to book their berth for the Commonwealth Games.
