One of the world’s greatest athletes, tennis player Novak Djokovic, has broken his silence to declare that he chose not to vaccinate himself against the covid pandemic in order to preserve what he has jealously taken care of in his rise to international stardom.

“I have always supported the freedom to choose what you put into your body. For me that is essential and it is really the principal of understanding what is right and what is wrong for me as a professional athlete.

“I have carefully reviewed and assessed everything that comes in from Supplements , food, the water I drink, sports drinks, anything that comes into my body as a fuel and based on all the information that I got I decided not to take the vaccination,” said Djokovic who missed becoming the greatest tennis player of all-time when Australia shoved him out of last month’s Grand Slam as he was to vaccinated.

An international influence, Djokovic made the revelation in an interview with the BBC.

When asked whether it was appropriate for such a great personality like him to forego the chance of becoming the greatest athlete that picked up a racquet because of the vaccination jab, Djokovic answered: “That is the price I am wiling to pay (sacrificing greatness to live by my conscience)”.

Djokovic declared that achievements on the tennis court or any other factors that make a person great mean nothing compared to his conviction.

“The principals of decision-making on my body are more important than any (tennis) title or anything else. I am trying to be in tune with my body as much as I possibly can,” said Djokovic.
