A felicitation ceremony was held at the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital Auditorium recently to commend the services of doctors and other health staff in tackling the Covid-19 pandemic.
Medical Superintendent (MS) of the Akkaraipattu Base Hospital Dr. Azad. M. Haniffa and Digamadulla District Parliamentarian and National Congress Leader A.L.M.Athaullah were the Chief Guests on the occasion.
The Chief Guests praised the dedication of the health workers at the hospital to contain the spread of Covid-19 and provided them with certificates of excellence at the event.
Akkaraipattu Mayor Athaullah Ahamed Zackie, Akkaraipattu Divisional Secretary (DS) T.M.M.Ansar, Dr. M.A.Abdul Rakeesthu, General Surgeon Dr.M.Rifzan Jameel, Akkaraipattu Base Hospital Quality Management Unit Officer in-Charge Dr.M.M.Thazim, Akkaraipattu All Mosques Federation President and Akkaraipattu Municipal Councilor S.M.Safees, personnel from the Army and Police, religious leaders and many others were present.
