The Sri Lanka Press Association (SLPA) celebrated its 67th Anniversary Convention at the Sri Lanka Foundation Auditorium, under the aegis of Minister of Mass Media Dullas Alahapperuma.
Five media veterans who have rendered yeoman service to the industry were presented with the D. F. Kariyakarawana Memorial Award for their outstanding contribution - Sarath Cooray of Dinamina, Arthur U. Amarasena, Chandrika Wijesundera of Lankadeepa, A. C. De Silva of Sunday Observer and Sunil Daya Alwis. Here the recipient or their representatives with the Minister and SLPA officials.
