Chief Inspector of Police (CI) M. Ramseen Pakeer assumed duties as HQI of the Kalmunai Police Station on January 28.
He joined the Police Department in 1989 as a Sub Inspector and has served in various parts of the country for 33 years. He was promoted to IP in 2006 and later promoted to Chief Inspector in 2019.
He had also served as OIC of the Clearance Unit and OIC of the of Sawalakada Police Station in the Ampara District. He also served for 12 years as the Special Clearance Prevention Officer for the Trincomalee District.
He is a graduate from the University of Colombo and holds a postgraduate degree in human rights and a diploma in the relevant field.
He is resident of the Gampaha District and an old boy of Ananda College, Colombo.
The OIC of the Sainthamaruthu Police Station, M.I.M. Samsuddeen, Kalmunai Police Station Social Security Unit Chief Inspector, A.L.A. Wahid, police personnel and family members also participated at the event.
