A massive rally of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) was held at the Salgadu Stadium, Anuradhapura on Wednesday, February 9 under the patronage of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa and SLPP National Organiser Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa. It was the first in a series of campaign rallies organised by the SLPP aimed at future elections, most likely the forthcoming Local Government elections.
