Nomis Wijesinghe, 84, of Botalegama, Bulathsinhala passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25. His remains were cremated the following day at Dehigahawala cemetery, Bulathsinhala.
He was the father of Sunday Observer staff writer and senior graphic designer Mahil Wijesinghe.
Wijesinghe was attached to the Survey Section of the State Gem Corporation for 25 years.
His wife A.D. Wimalawathie predeceased him. He leaves four sons Mahil, Ananda, Ranjith and Kalyana.
