The annual get-together of the Batticaloa District Civil Society was held at East Lagoon Hotel, Batticaloa on January 1. Here Education Director of Eastern Province, Naguleswery Pullanayagam delivering her speech. Batticaloa District Civil Society, S. Mamangaraja, Batticaloa Government Agent, K. Karunagaran, Kallady 231st Brigade Commander, Brigadier Dileep Bandara and Director Batticaloa Teaching Hospital, Kalaranjani Ganesalingam too were present on the occasion.
