The ceremony to bestow blessings of the Venerable Maha Sangha on President Gotabaya Rajapaksa who was instrumental in granting state patronage to reconstruct the historic Siri Mangala Uposathagaraya of the Sri Kalyani Samagridharma Maha Sangha Sabha in Mahaviharawanshika Sri Jayewardenepura, Kotte, set up in the historic Seema Malaka in Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Raja Maha Vihara under the royal patronage of the Great King Parakramabahu six of Kotte will be held today (January 2) at 4.00pm at the historic Sri Mangala Uposathagaraya, Kotte Raja Maha Vihara presided over by the Committee of Maha Sangha Sabha headed by the Most Ven. Dr. Ittapana Dhammalankara Mahanayaka Thera, Chief Prelate of Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte Sri Kalyani Samagridharma Maha Sangha Sabha, Chancellor of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
