Dialog will be the title sponsor of the Asian Rugby Sevens scheduled to be held on November 19 and 20 in Dubai.
Since 2015 Dialog sponsored the Sri Lankan leg of the Asia Rugby Sevens series at the Racecourse ground in Colombo and due to the Covid 19 pandemic the event was not held in 2010 thereby compelling the organizers to host the 2021 championship in Dubai.
“I am indeed pleased that a Sri Lankan company has come forth as the title sponsor of a tournament of such a calibre as the Asia Rugby Sevens Series 2021. I take this opportunity to wish Asia Rugby, its title sponsor Dialog Axiata and our very own Tuskers the very best as they prepare to kick off this tourney,” said Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa.
Supun Weerasinghe, Chief Executive of Dialog said: “Dialog has been sponsoring the Colombo leg of the highly anticipated Asia Rugby Sevens series from 2015 and I wish to thank Asia Rugby for giving us the opportunity to come forth as the title sponsor and wish a successful tournament.”
