The attached pictures were found in some booklets of the Dahlke-Journal “Die Bocken-sammlung” (meaning in German ‘bits of food being collected in the sense of pinnapāta) a Journal that was launched by Dr. Paul Dahlke, founder of Das Buddhistisches Haus in 1924. Dr. Dahlke died in 1928.

The pictures of Anagarika were taken at Das Buddhistische Haus in 1925 when Anagarika visited his friend Dr. Dahlke.

However, the pictures which are spieces of the Journal were published only in 1932 in the Journal then being edited by Bertha Dahlke (Dr. Dahlke’s sister) The source of the other picture of Anagarika Dharmapala at the main entrance of DBH is being investigated among the old records.
