Vaccination for those between 20-30 begins

5 September, 2021

Sri Lanka has become one of the leading, if not the best, countries which are in the forefront in vaccinating people against the Covid-19 pandemic. The Government last week commenced administering the Covid-19 vaccine to those in the age group 20 to 30 years, starting from the Hambantota district. There are about 3.7 million people in this age group. The officials have been instructed to expeditiously complete the vaccination of this age group by the end of next month. Here Youth and Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa in conversation with a differently-abled girl, awaiting her turn at a vaccination centre at Tangalle.
