Royal College Leo Club bags eight special awards

The Leo Club of Royal College setup in October 2020 won eight special awards at the recently concluded Lions Star Awards ceremony.

The ceremony was held on digital platform under the patronage of Past International President Lion Mahendra Amarasuriya and more than 600 Lions and Leos around the world participated in this colourful and glamorous event.

Deputy Head Prefect of Royal College Leo Binuja Amaranayaka won the District Governor’s Special Appreciation Award and the Lions Clubs International President’s Appreciation Award a fourth highest award an individual Lion or Leo can achieve.

Leo Fazri Denon Amith the President of the Royal College Leo Club 2020-2021 won the Leo Club Presidents Excellence Award with the District Governor’s Appreciation Award.

Riyaz Alluhar the Assistant Principal and Staff advisor of Royal College said this is a great achievement by the Royal Leos, and it is more important and valuable because they focused on many humanitarian activities even with the pandemic situation.

  • Highest participation for Lions event 2nd runner-up
  • Hundred percent Leo Club President Award from Lions Clubs International- Leo Fazri Deenon Amith.
  • Joint Projects with Sponsoring Lions Club - Special Appreciation Award
  • Net Growth in Membership Aloha Leo Clubs - 2nd runner-up
  • Most Outstanding International Program- Winner
  • Most Outstanding International Observations Program by Aloha Leo Clubs - 1st runner-up
  • District Governor’s Special Appreciation Award- Leo Fazri Denon Amith.
  • District Governor’s Special Appreciation Award and International Presidents Appreciation certificate the fourth highest Award a Lion or Leo can receive - Leo Binuja Amaranayaka.
