My favourite sport is cricket. It is a very popular sport in Sri Lanka.
I like cricket for many reasons. It is a team game and also a very fascinating one. When we play cricket we spend most of our time in the open air and it is very good for our health. It is a good form of exercise too.
We have a world famous cricket team. We won the ‘World Cup’ in 1996.
People in all walks of life like to watch cricket matches. This shows the popularity which has been gained by this sport.
