Siddi Lebbe was born on June 11, 1838 and died on February 5, 1898. He was a scholar, educationist and a Muslim community leader. He worked hard to uplift the lives of Muslims.
He was a lawyer by profession and a member of the Kandy Municipal Council. Siddi Lebbe founded many Muslim Schools. He printed school books and distributed them free.
