Showers expected at evening or night

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Sabaragamuwa, Western and Central provinces and Galle and Matara districts during the evening or night, stated the Department of Meteorology.

Fairly heavy falls above 50 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.

Several spells of showers may occur in Uva province and in Hambantota, Batticaloa and Ampara districts.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
