
The Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan tested positive for Covid-19.
Two days prior to the diagnosis, he was vaccinated the China- manufactured Covid-19 vaccine ‘Sinopharm’ as the country is facing the third wave of the pandemic.
His office said on Saturday “At this point, the prime minister’s office can only confirm that the honourable prime minister has tested positive for COVID-19 and has self-isolated, we will release more details in due course.”
PM Khan has attended a security conference held in Islamabad and he addressed the conference without wearing a mask.
Sinopharm and CanSinoBIO, Oxford-AstraZeneca and Sputnik V vaccines have been approved for emergency use in Pakistan.
