Army seized a large stock of illegally felled trees in Lahugala in Ampara district on Wednesday (03).
The Army troops of 4 SLLLI have identified the illegal felling of trees inside the forest and found 05 foot bicycles loaded with timber and a crosscut saw.
Racketeers had fled the jungle leaving their bicycles and timber when troops arrived. Timber was handed over to the Damana Police.
