Showers expected during evening or night

Showers or thundershowers will occur at a few places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the evening or night, stated the Department of Meteorology.  

Fairly heavy falls above 75 mm can be expected at some places.  

A few showers will occur in Eastern, Northern, North-central and Uva provinces and in Matale and Nuwara-Eliya districts 

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
