Warnapura at the helm of Bloomfield

Bandula Warnapura was elected President of the Bloomfield Cricket and Athletic Club at their AGM held recently.

The first Sri Lanka Test captain, Warnapura also played for Bloomfield from the 1970s to the 1980s at a time the club was a big force on the domestic cricket scene. Among Bloomfield’s new officials are several past cricketers who have rallied around to lift the club’s fortunes with new development plans.

Roshan Mahanama and Lalith Kaluperuma were elected vice presidents while Kumara Dharmasena and Ruchira Palliyaguruge were elected Committee members.(DR)
