A 47 year old individual was arrested today for ‘baby farming’, said the Police.
The suspect has sold newly born babies with the agreement of their mothers who become pregnant due to sexual harassment or unplanned pregnancy.
The investigations were carried out by the Women and Child Bureau of the Sri Lanka Police over an advertisement of illegal child adoption on the internet.
