Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa inaugurated construction work on the third stretch of the Central Expressway from Pothuhera to Galagedara yesterday, with a ground-breaking ceremony in Lihinigiriya on the Pothuhera-Wadakada road. The 31km-long Pothuhera-Galagedara stretch of road will have four lanes and four interchanges including Polgahawela,Rambukkana, Galagedara and Pothuhera. Construction work is expected to be completed within the next 48 months. Here the Premier unveils the plaque to commence construction work on the Expressway. Highways Minister Johnston Fernando was also present.
