Displaying the ingenuity of the Sri Lanka Army, Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva is being escorted in a remote-controlled car at the opening ceremony of the Mechanical Engineering Workshop of the Sri Lanka Army Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Regiment this week. The vehicle belonging to Sri Lanka’s Royal Mechanical and Electrical Engineers regiment prior to 1960 had been restored by the workshop ahead of the event. Pic by Rukmal Gamage
