The Lanka Premier League (LPL) organizing committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) appointed five vastly experienced Liaison officers for the event which is currently taking place in Hambantota.
They are Chandra Rodrigo, Upali Manukularatne, Shihabdeen Faumi, Ratheepan Yohenthiran and Shamzeer Jaleel. Faumi was a Liaison officer for the visiting Pakistan outfit at the 2010 Asia Cup and the T20 World Cup (2012). He is currently a match referee and with the Galle Gladiators outfit.
Yohenthiran is the president of the Vavuniya District Cricket Association and with the Jaffna Stallions while Manukularatne who is the current secretary of the Burgher Recreation Club (BRC) is with the Colombo Kings. Jaleel was the founder secretary of the Trinity College Cricket Foundation and handled the Liaison officer role for rugby teams as well as the Bangladesh U-19 cricket team at the Asia Cup last year. He is with the Kandy Tuskers. Chandra Rodrigo is the Liaison officer for the Dambulla Vikings.
