Italy has banned travelling between regions during the period from 21 December to 6 January as a strict coronavirus curbing mechanism.
It is due to the upcoming Christmas and New Year Holiday Season.
The Prime Minister of Italy Giuseppe Conte said "We must eliminate the risk of a third wave which could arrive in January - and not less serious than the first and the second," in a news conference.
