A ceremony to mark the centenary of the Pilagoda Junior School, Baddegama and to commemorate the founder of the school, Ven. Baddegama Dhammatilleke Tissa Nayaka Thera was held recently. Following a Bodhi pooja, Ven. Manpitiye Siri Sumana Thera delivered the sermon. A Sanghika dana to the Maha Sangha was held the following day. Galle Education Zonal office staff, the Principal and school staff, students and former Provincial Councilor Ven. Dr. Baddegama Samitha Thera were present.
