The Rotary Club of Batticaloa at their Diamond Jubilee Charter celebrations honoured all those health officials from the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital who were responsible for the containment of the Covid -19 virus within the Batticaloa district.
This Charter celebration was held at their centre situated at Pioneer Street, Batticaloa on Sunday (21). The Rotary President Dr. V. Karunakaran presided over the function where the chief guest was the Batticaloa Government Agent, Kalamathy Pathmaraja.
Cardiologist K. Arulnithy, Micro Biologist (PCR Test) Vaithegi Rajeevan Frances, Epidemiologist V. Gunarajasegaram and Laboratory Technicians in the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital were honoured with awards.
