The Addalaichenai Divisional Secretariat division provided seeds of various crops valued at twenty rupees each to the residents at a ceremony held at the Addalaichenai Agricultural Extension Centre recently, under the Sawbhagya Home Garden Project.

This is part of the program of the Mahaweli, Agriculture, Irrigation and Rural Development Ministry under the One Million Home Garden Program on the theme ‘sustainable agriculture’ to ensure food security and a prosperous farming community.
Two hundred families engaged in home gardening and 300 paddy cultivators would benefit by the program, the Addalaichenai Agricultural Extension Centre Agricultural Instructor and Officer-In-Charge A.H.A.Mubarak said.
Agriculture Instructor S.Premnath, Technology Assistants V.Nirosan and S.Rekuka were present at the event.
