Dharman takes over Silumina, Gamini returns to Dinamina

Senior media personalities Dharman Wickremaratne and Gamini Jayalath recently assumed duties as Chief Editors of our sister papers Silumina and Dinamina.

Wickremaratne who took to journalism from Divaina in 1984, was born in Pathegama, Matara and is an old boy of Ananda College Colombo.

As a pioneer in investigative journalism who had contributed to many national newspapers over the years, he is also a popular author who has written 54 books.

He became the 26th editor of Silumina which celebrates its 90th anniversary next month.

Meanwhile , Gamini Jayalath returns to his old position as Dinamina chief editor, having served previously from 2012 to 2015.

An old boy of Piliyandala Central College, he began his journalistic career at Lake House in 1994 and became the 25th editor of the century old Dinamina history. He is equally popular as an actor in cinema, stage and teledrama.
