CCC School of Cricket win U-10 title

The Under-10 inter-academy cricket championship organized and conducted by the Colombo Premier Cricket Foundation in Colombo, was completed with the grand final between hosts CPCF and CCC School of Cricket Maroons at the Dudley Senanayake School ground with the latter winning easily by seven wickets.

CCC School of Cricket, who won last year as well, was unbeaten in the tournament. They beat Brendon Kuruppu CA, Asian Grammar School, SA Cricket Academy, Moratissa and Malintha Warnapura CA.

In the semi-final CCC met SSC Blue and beat them by 131 runs. The winning team comprised Rusandu Silva (captain), Reshon Solomons, Tharun Ariyaratne, Jahan Pathirana, Thesika Goonatilleke, Dushan Udawela, Amad Afdhal, Rasula Madarasinghe, Esandu Ratnayake, Nesandu Adambarage, Vohara Kumanayake, Thurunu Mendis, Thiyon De Silva, Nathan Tousaint and Methuka Galapitage

The team was coached by former Sri Lanka player Rangika Fernando.
