Arrangements will soon be made to fill the vacancies in the health sector and provide adequate human resources on the direction of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, a Health Ministry spokesman said.
Trade unions connected to RMPs, AMPs, MLTs took part in the discussions held with the Health Minister in connection with filling vacancies in the health sector. Professional issues were also discussed and it was decided to consider humanitarian grounds when offering appointments, he said.The Minister pointed out the importance of treating all professions equally without creating rifts among themselves. Many other issues were also discussed during the meeting. Health Ministry Secretary P.M.S. Charles and ministry officials were present.
