Former Northern Provincial Council (NPC) member and former Presidential candidate, M.K. Sivajilingam appeared before the Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) yesterday to provide a statement, in apropos over a ceremony to mark the “Tamil Eelam commemoration”, on May 12.
Sivajilingam reported to the TID at 9.30 a.m. Addressing the media gathered near the TID he said that everyone must cooperaate to ensure national integrity. Initially, when he was notified to appear, he had informed the TID his inability to be present, citing he had contracted dengue but made himself present on the rescheduled day.
