Essay writing competition

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Indian Constitution and 129th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, the Chief Architect of the Indian Constitution, the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre and the High Commission of India, Colombo, will hold an Essay Writing competition. The details of the competition are:

(i) Topics: Participants can write on any one of the following topics:

Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar, Buddhism, and the Indian Constitution

Duties of a Citizen under the Indian Constitution

(ii) Terms and Conditions:

* Age limit: 25 years or below as of 1st December, 2019.

* Language: Participants can write either in English, Sinhala, Tamil or Hindi

* Word Limit: 2,000 Maximum words including footnotes.

* Criteria of Evaluation:

* Originality of the content

* Creativity and Rationality

* Style and Presentation of content

* Clarity and proper citations

* Plagiarism can lead to outright rejection

There is no registration fee for this essay competition.
