A total of 39 men’s teams and 13 women’s teams are down to participate in the 42nd Travel Trade cricket Sixes to be held at the Steel Corporation ground in Athurugiriya today.
The teams are from 29 hotels, 13 travel agents and one airline with Blue Water, Wadduwa defending the men’s title and Amaya Lake, Dambulla defending the women’s title.
The tournament is sponsored by Aitken Spence Travels for the 18th time.
The participating teams from the hotels are: Blue Water, Wadduwa, Cinnamon Grand (men and women), Kingsbury Hotel, Centara Ceysands, Aluthgama (men and women), Goldi Sands Hotel, Negombo, Camelot Beach Negombo, (men and women), Anantara Kalutara, Platinum One Suites, Cinnamon Bay, Beruwala (men and women), Galle Face Hotel, Tangerine Beach, Beruwela, Waters Edge (men and women), Jetwing Sea, Negombo, Club Hotel Dolphin, Waikkal, Amaya Lake, Dambulla (men and women), Taj Bentota Resort and Spa (men and women), Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon (men and women), Hilton Colombo Residencies (men and women), Jetwing Blue, Negombo, Galadari Hotel, Cape Weligama, Wild Coast Lodge, Lantern Boutique Hotel, Amaya Hills, Kandy (men and women) and Avani Bentota. The participating teams from the travel agents are Connaissance de Ceylan, Ceylon Roots, Citrus Leisure (men and women), Hamoos Travels, Butterflies, Walkers and Whittalls, Classic Travel, Asia Leisure, Eco Team, Hemas Travels, Aitken Spence Travels, Infinity Vacations and TGL Travels.
