Lasith Cruzepulle
Lasith Cruzepulle of Chilaw Marians passed the 500 runs milestone in the Major Emerging inter club cricket tournament, the most number of runs by a batsman in the championship as he helped his team enter the final.
The 21-year old right hand opening batsman Cruzepulle scored 502 runs with three centuries in six matches.
He scored 117 against Kalutara TC and 112 against Bloomfield in the first round and in the quarter finals made 134 and 65 against NCC.
Cruzepulle represented Maris Stella College and De Mazenod College in the inter school tournament. (YK)
