Prima Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd last week reversed its previous decision to increase the price of wheat flour, as a gesture to support the endeavours of newly elected President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Prima Ceylon (Private) Ltd issuing a press release also stated that bakery owners and other retail traders have been informed of the price reversal.
“As the newly elected President of Sri Lanka is making the best effort to bring the Sri Lankan economy back on to a strong recovery path, while addressing many challenges, it will assist the President’s endeavours by withdrawing the recent price increase,” the statement further noted.
