As many as 16 schools have benefitted from Sri Lanka’s Cricket’s donation of bowling machines taking into account their performances in the 2018-19 season.
The schools which received the machines are St. Joseph’s College, S. Thomas’ College, St. Peter’s College, St. Sebastian’s College, Nalanda College, Prince of Wales College, Trinity College, Thurstan College, Mahinda College, Richmond College, Maris Stella College, St. Servatius College, Matara, Zahira College, Mahanama College,St. Benedicts’ College and Ananda College. Each bowling machine has been valued at Rs. 650,000.
“This is only a start and we are planning to provide these machines to all the 36 schools which plays in Division One cricket,’’ said Shammi Silva, president Sri Lanka Cricket.
Oshara Panditharatne the president of the Schools Cricket Association and Kamal Dharmasiri, Head of National Development Center of SLC were present during the presentation ceremony.
