Anshabaagaye Wagavibaga (Physiotherapy for paralysis) by Chartered Physiotherapist, Madara Sarasi de Silva, on stroke, its management, and physiotherapy treatment will be launched at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 25 at the Mahaweli Centre, Colombo 7.
The chief guest will be World Neurology Federation, Public Awareness and Advocacy Committee Chair, Consultant Neurologist, domiciled in Australia, Prof. Tissa Wijeratne.
The book describes in detail, with illustrations, how to avoid paralysis, how to prevent debilitation due to paralysis, how to care for paralytic patients and physiotherapy interventions that would allow patients to recover to their full potential.
