“SOAR”, an initiative by the Community Services Avenue of the Rotaract Club of the University of Sri Jayewardenepura (RACUSJP) aimed at uplifting the spirits and bringing a smile to the faces of children from Children’s Homes, will take place at the Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Council grounds on October 12 from 9 a.m. as part of World Children’s Day celebrations.
Over 100 children together with 70+ Rotaractors will join hands to spend the morning soaring kites with them to enjoy a simple pleasure in life.
The prime aim of the project is to ensure that society is directed to help children who deserve love and care, extending a helping hand towards the little ones to feel that they are no less important than their peers.
