Zahira College, Colombo, organised Nelson Mandela Day at the College Gaffoor Hall recently. The Chief Guest was High Commissioner, South Africa in Sri Lanka R.P. Maks. The event was held under the patronage of Principal Trizviiy Marikkar. The chief guest presented gift packs to students.
Political Counsellor of the Embassy J. Van Niekerk, Administrative Officer M.S.M. Siraj, Social Secretary, South African Embassy F.F.H.S. Ismail, Deputy Principals Ananda Ponnemperuma, Razeen Assen, Vice Principals A. M. Mihilar, Mrs. Hijazi Mohideen, Fazlin Firdhouse, POG Muhiseen Ariff, teachers and students were present.
