Mudslinging campaign against govt minister

Mudslinging campaigns against political opponents have marked the opening of a tawdry election season.

Last week an allegedly doctored photograph of a senior government minister purporting to depict him in a compromising position with a young female made rounds on popular social media platforms and gossip websites.

While the fake image sparked contempt from a portion of the public, the victim posted on his social media page that the fake photograph was being circulated to embarrass him.
