Sri Sumangala College and Sri Rahula College were both all out for identical first innings totals of 175 in their 21st Battle of the Golds cricket encounter at the Pallekelle Stadium yesterday.
The match ended in a draw as both teams agreed to call off the game one hour before the close. On the first day Sri Sumangala who were invited to take first lease of the wicket were all out for 175 runs in 64.overs.
In reply the Sri Rahula boys were in a good footing with 105 for the loss of two wickets in 33 over’s at close of play. Continuing form the overnight score, they were all out soon after lunch for 175 runs in 69.2 over’s.
Sri Sumangala in their second innings were 82 for 5 when the match came to a halt.
