The vastly improved Police team will confront CH and FC in their Dialog inter club League rugby championships at the Race Course ground in Colombo today while on the same day Air Force are listed to play against Havelocks at a venue to be named.
The match was originally listed to be worked off at Ratmalana a venue which has now being blacklisted by referees after one of their members was assaulted after a match last month.
Police raised their game when they beat Army during a match the previous week and are expected to play in the same way against CH and FC who also won their match against Navy last week after a string of three defeats.
Both teams are however out of the running for the title with Kandy and Havelocks being the front-runners.
