Kavindu Rashmika in action
Fourteen year old Kavindu Rashmika became the first student from Lexicon International School,
Kandy to secure the first place at the Sir John Tarbat Junior Athletic Championship under-15 800m event held at the Anuradhapura public ground recently.
He was the only athlete from the Central Province to achieve this feat. In addition to this race
Rashmika secured third place in the under-15 400m at the same meet.
He is coached by Lalith Bandara an ex-army athlete who guided him.
