Madol Doova

21 October, 2018

Among all the books I have read so far, I thoroughly enjoyed reading Madol Doova by Martin Wickremasinghe which was published in 1947. It is a story about an island named Madol Doova which is discovered by two boys named Upali and Jinna. Upali’s mother has passed away and his stepmother is cruel to him and he is ill treated. Upali and his friend Jinna run away to the island of Madol Doova. The rest of the book explores the adventures of Upali and Jinna in Madol Doova. I experienced adventure, excitement and fantasy while reading this book.
