Royal College beat S. Thomas College 9-7 in the first leg of the 27th edition of the Dr. R.L. Hayman Trophy water polo clash at the Sugathadasa Swimming Complex yesterday.
S. Thomas’ College went in as favorites but were outplayed by Royal with a set plan.
The Thomians had won the trophy for six years running and yesterday was not their day.
